A performative act inspired by a song of Yasmeen Moalem. The song speaks of self redemption. I invite the performers and the crowd to redeem themselves and leap off the ladder – which symbolizes the past, and fall into our arms as an act of healing. There is a ladder on the land, it is decorated with silver strings and many eggplants. I give out lollipops to the performers and to the crowd; attached to the lollipop there is a small note with the words of the song. Each person at his/her own time is invited to climb on the ladder, read aloud the note and fall into the performer’s arms.
